Bob  Searle

Partner, Boston

Bob Searle is a partner in Bridgespan's Boston office.  Since joining Bridgespan in 2000, Bob has worked with foundations and direct service clients across a range of issue areas, including education, aging, and youth development.  His education clients include the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s education program, National Academy FoundationTalent Development High Schools, and the North Carolina New Schools Project.

Bob also leads Bridgespan’s efforts to have impact on environmental issues, including work on climate change, ocean ecosystem health, and land conservation strategies.

In addition to his client work, he is the author of several articles and case studies, including “More Bang for the Buck,”  published in the Spring 2008 issue of Stanford Social Innovation Review, and “Moving Eco-certification Mainstream.” 

Prior to Bridgespan, Bob worked at the consulting firm AT Kearney, where he worked with clients in the pharmaceuticals, transportation, and retail industries on issues related to process improvement and distribution strategy.  He also spent time at Staples in an internal consulting capacity.

Bob’s other experiences in the nonprofit sector include staff positions at social service and arts organizations, including Ronald McDonald House and the Greater Boston Youth Symphony.

Before attending business school Bob pursued a career as a professional musician, which included four years as a member of the U.S. Marine Band, as well as performances with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Seattle Symphony.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in music performance from Boston University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar.  He currently serves on the advisory board for the Allwin Initiative for Corporate Citizenship at Tuck.
