Strategy Consulting

Bridgespan’s consulting engagements focus on results. We seek opportunities to help high-performing and high-potential organizations maximize the impact of their work.

Group Consulting: Increasing Organizational Effectiveness

Bridgespan offers a consulting service which engages a group of nonprofit leadership teams to identify their organizational strengths and weaknesses, and to develop action plans to increase their effectiveness.

Philanthropy Advising

Bridgespan’s engagements with philanthropy focus on results. We cultivate relationships with individuals and foundations with big ideas for making the world a better place, who seek roadmaps for enabling and accelerating social change. We seek opportunities to help them maximize the impact of their resources.

Leadership Program: Leading for Impact

Leading for Impact brings together nonprofit executive directors/CEOs and their senior team members in a six-month-long program to build capabilities across the critical dimensions of highly effective nonprofit leaders and their teams. This is an opportunity to explore content and tools used by Bridgespan in our work advising nonprofit clients, to apply those tools in meeting organizational priorities, and to do so in partnership with a select group of nonprofit leaders.

Nonprofit Job Board

Our nonprofit job board, specializing in leadership positions, features full and part-time jobs with nonprofit organizations as well as board of director positions. Browse available jobs or post a position today.

Bridgespan® Expertise

We believe a high quality education and some form of post-secondary degree is fundamental to breaking cycles of intergenerational poverty. Bridgespan’s education practice collaborates with organizations that seek to make unprecedented progress toward increasing college readiness and completion for low-income students.

Funding Strategy

In nonprofit organizations, funding strategy should be as thoughtful and intentional as its program strategy. Through our work, we provide support and resources that can help nonprofits and foundations develop funding strategies that increase sustainability and impact.

Global Development

Deep social issues besiege disadvantaged populations beyond US borders: poverty; indifference for human rights and equal opportunity; inadequate access to health care, shelter, food, water, and education, and many more. Bridgespan's global development work aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged populations outside the US by helping emerging philanthropies and social sectors accelerate their development and maximize the impact of their programs.

Leadership Effectiveness

Without strong leaders and sound management practices nonprofit organizations can struggle to sustain their successes and increase their impact. Our services, tools, and insights provide advice to CEOs and senior team leaders who aim to become more effective nonprofit leaders.

Organizational Effectiveness

Nonprofits often struggle with meeting and sustaining high standards of organizational excellence. Through our work with nonprofits and philanthropy, and in-depth research, Bridgespan aims to strengthen organizations to help them achieve their missions and increase their impact.

Performance Measurement

Social sector leaders repeatedly identify performance measurement as one of the most challenging aspects of their work, with fewer than one in four reporting that they adequately resource, staff and prioritize this function. Bridgespan assists organizations in designing measurement strategies that promote learning and continuous improvement.

Revitalizing Communities

All people should have the opportunity to achieve their full potential, regardless of their circumstances or the zip code into which they were born. To realize this ambition, Bridgespan leverages our experience in strategy and management to support communities, as they work to achieve the successes their residents envision for themselves, and individuals and families, as they pursue social and economic mobility.

Strategy Development

Strategy is about getting critical resource decisions right—allocating time, talent, and dollars to the activities that have the greatest impact. The strategies we develop with our clients are anchored in their most critical decisions; grounded in our field and capability experience. And we craft these strategies to position clients to scale their impact in both the near- and longer-term.

Youth Development

There are more than 700,000 teen pregnancies each year in the US. Over 40,000 children live in foster care, and about 5 million 16 to 24 year olds are out of school or work. Bridgespan works with organizations committed to overcoming these challenges to help ensure every young person reaches his or her potential and lives a healthy, productive life.
