Serita Cox
Manager, San Francisco
Serita Cox is a manager in Bridgespan's San Francisco office. She joined Bridgespan with over a decade of experience in corporate strategy consulting and executive-level management.
Serita worked as an independent consultant to Fortune 500 and small cap companies advising boards of directors and senior management on corporate strategy development, private equity investment, company mergers and acquisitions, integration, and outsourcing. Previously, she was the vice president of strategy and business management systems for 3Com’s largest business unit, Business Connectivity Group, were she was responsible for a P&L in excess of $500M, as well as the development and implementation of the group’s strategy and performance management system. Serita has also been the vice president of strategy and operations development for 3Com’s global eBusiness unit and Information Technology department. She began her career as a consultant for Deloitte Consulting’s strategy unit, Braxton Consulting, and as a clinical research manager for Eli Lilly focused on central nervous system diseases such as schizophrenia, depression and Alzheimer’s.
Serita complements her years of corporate experience with a lifelong commitment to nonprofit organizations. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for Child Advocates of Placer County. Child Advocates incorporates the CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) program and is responsible for advocating in court to find safe, permanent living alternatives for the children of Placer County in Northern California who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or violence.
She has a BSc (Highest Honors) in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Carleton University in Canada, and an MBA in Strategy and Marketing from the Bronfman School of Business at McGill University in Canada.
