Katherine Kaufmann
Manager, Boston

Kat is a Manager in the Boston office of the Bridgespan group. She joined Bain in 1997 as an Associate Consultant and transferred to TBG in 2005.

Through pro bono work and an externship with Bridgespan in 2003, she has assisted non-profit organizations with their strategic planning processes. She has served clients in the education, child welfare, international law and environmental sectors.

While at Bain, Kat worked in the consumer products, retail, publishing, industrial products, and pharmaceutical industries. She assisted clients in assessing new business opportunities, benchmarking competitor performance, and evaluating potential investments.

Kat served for four years in the United States Navy as a supply officer on the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. Over the course of her time on board, she managed the ship’s banking operations and consumable storerooms.

Kat earned her MBA from Harvard Business School in 2001 where she was a Baker Scholar. While at HBS, she worked as a Portfolio Manager for New Profit, Inc., a venture philanthropy firm. Kat graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a BA in Social Studies.
