Maureen Salkin joined Bridgestar in 2006 from Levin & Company, where she was Vice President of Research and an executive recruiter. Before transitioning to the recruiting field she spent more than 20 years working in nonprofit cultural organizations in upstate New York, in roles ranging from executive director to general manager to COO. She taught arts administration for more than 10 years at the University at Albany, Schenectady County Community College and, most recently, at Suffolk University. Also active as a freelance editor, Maureen was Managing Editor of the Encyclopedia of Space Science and Technology.
Maureen is currently an active volunteer at the Arts and Business Council of Greater Boston and the Power Program (English for Speakers of Other Languages) in Waltham, MA. She has served on the boards of the Whiskers Animal Benevolent League and the Albany County League of Women Voters.
She earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Northwestern University and a graduate degree in public affairs and public policy from the State University of New York at Albany.
