Careers at Bridgespan

Regardless of their professional backgrounds, there is one characteristic that marks all Bridgespan team members: a deeply-held personal commitment to working with nonprofit leaders to make a positive impact.

In evaluating professionals for the Bridgespan team, we look for:

  • Proven ability to leverage leading-edge strategic tools and methodologies to conduct detailed, fact-based analyses of complex strategic and organizational challenges.
  • Willingness to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, forging close relationships with clients and colleagues to develop strategies in a collaborative professional environment.
  • Humility to recognize that we are learning all the time, and that every challenge is an opportunity to gain new knowledge.

DIVERSITY

Promoting social change is a complex and dynamic process that requires understanding of the problems organizations face and the impact of their interventions on constituents. For this reason, Bridgespan actively recruits team members from diverse backgrounds and with diverse perspectives.

We are committed to providing equal opportunities, and we are proud to have been named one of the Human Rights Campaign 2008 Best Places to Work. Our employees represent a broad range of academic and professional backgrounds; it is our policy to ensure that all individuals with whom we are in contact are treated without regard to age, color, disability, gender, marital status, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, expression, gender identity or veteran status, and that all are given every opportunity to succeed.

We actively partner with organizations representing minority concerns and interests to build high-performing teams that mirror the communities we serve. Key among our activities in this regard is our partnership with Bain & Company to support diversity affiliation groups for Black (BABS); Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (BGLAD); and Latino (LATBA) employees. PREPARING FOR THE CONSULTING INTERVIEW
Bridgespan's interview process involves a combination of case interviews and resume interviews. Case interviews give you an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to structure your thinking, respond to complex and ambiguous problems, and reach sound conclusions. The case interview also gives you an example of the kinds of work we commonly see in strategy consulting engagements. For this reason, our interviewers prepare their interviews based on real cases.

Resume interviews give you an opportunity to discuss specific instances when you have demonstrated relevant skills and have been challenged. It is also important for us to understand your past experience and gain an understanding of your interest in Bridgespan.
