Debby is a manager in Bridgespan’s New York office. She joined Bridgespan from McKinsey & Company, where she had been an engagement manager in their Philadelphia office, and a community fellow in their Social Sector Office.
Debby’s consulting engagements with nonprofits include strategy development for foundations including the McKnight Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the UN Foundation. As a former teacher, Debby has applied her passion for education in developing strategies for The College Board and the Public Education Network, facilitating six local education funds in developing their own strategic plans, and analyzing the US higher education sector for the Aspen Institute’s Forum for the Future of Higher Education. Debby’s other project work includes developing advocacy organizations from scratch, interviewing global CEOs on the most pressing environmental, social and governance issues, and developing a road map for collaboration between two global health organizations.
Debby’s for-profit work spans international brand strategy, acquisition strategy, stakeholder influence, and pre- and post-merger management in the pharmaceutical, retail, and consumer sectors in six countries.
Debby has co-authored articles in the McKinsey Quarterly and the National Association of College and University Business Officers Magazine.
Debby earned her BS in Mathematics with honors from Haverford College and her MBA from the Wharton School of Business, where she was a Joseph Wharton grant recipient and co-founder of the Social Impact Management Initiative.
