Kathleen Yazbak
Partner, Executive Search
Kathleen Yazbak joined Bridgespan in 2003, to create the organization’s executive search team and services, after spending nearly 15 years in for-profit executive search. She currently leads senior searches for organizations in youth development, education, human services, workforce development and microfinance, and functionally focuses on general management, communications and/or policy, evaluation, finance and operations. Ms. Yazbak has particular interest in helping national networks build their talent pipeline, and partnering with search committees during CEO transitions.
She was previously a consultant with Whitehead Mann, a global leadership consultancy specializing in diversity and multicultural assignments. Ms. Yazbak served both for-profit and nonprofit clients on senior executive and board searches, and her functional experience spanned general management, technology, operations, human resources, and finance. Before returning to the United States in 2001, she managed internal recruitment for Whitehead Mann in London, reporting to the CEO. Earlier in her career, Ms. Yazbak was a consultant with Heidrick & Struggles in Paris, France, where she led cross-border search projects.
A dual French and American citizen, she is bilingual and holds a BA from Tufts University and an MA from New York University/La Sorbonne in Paris. She is passionate about children's developmental disabilities, and has published articles, as well as has advocated internationally, on these topics.
