Let’s face it: There is an enormous power imbalance between donors (who have money) and nonprofits (who seek it). Donors may often talk about “partnering” with grantees, but “partnership” isn’t usually the first word that comes to a nonprofit leader’s mind. So it’s important to know whether your relationships with grantees are partnerships—or train wrecks?
