Paying Attention to the Performance Imperative

"The Performance Imperative: A Framework for Social Sector Excellence," provides a common definition of "high performance" for nonprofit organizations and specifies seven key pillars that are essential to achieving it.

Readers of my blog know that I'm dedicated to finding ways to continuously improve the performance of nonprofit organizations toward the goal of maximizing their intended impact. Such improvement is essential if we as a society are to get the upper hand on our many challenges. Of course, a growing number of people share this view and are working hard to advance it. One group of such likeminded people is the Leap of Reason Ambassadors Community, of which I'm a member. This group includes dozens of other nonprofit practitioners and leaders and has just released a noteworthy document called "The Performance Imperative: A Framework for Social Sector Excellence," which provides a common definition of "high performance" for nonprofit organizations and specifies seven key pillars that are essential to achieving it.

If you also share my enthusiasm for creating high performance organizations, I invite you to learn more about the Performance Imperative.
