Martin Luther King inspires Risa Lavizzo-Mourey to take on the “injustice in health”

With two physicians for parents, Risa Lavizzo-Mourey knew she wanted to go into medicine. Inspired by Dr. King, she became interested in moving from treating a single patient to working on health in a way that would benefit society as a whole.
