Primary Responsibilities

The Residential Program Site Supervisor manages Harvest Home’s residential program for homeless pregnant women at the Venice Home location working to create and maintain a supportive communal living environment. The Residential Program Site Supervisor collaborates with the Director of Programs to implement organizational strategies to ensure that the residential living environment (the home) effectively supports clients as they work to transition out of homelessness. Primary responsibilities of this position include supervising the Residential Life staff team and providing support with daily activities in the following areas: chores, meals, policies, classes, curfew, and independent and community-living skills.

Personnel:

· Staff Supervision & Management

Directly supervising program staff including: Case manager, Residential Life Coordinators, Overnight Assistants
Lead weekly collaborative case conference meeting
Conduct regular one-on-one supervision meetings
Address performance issues in collaboration with the Executive team
Ensure the site is fully staffed—including involvement in hiring and onboarding new staff
Work with each staff member to develop measurable goals and evaluate performance on a regular basis
Manage MSW case management interns (interviewing, training and on-site supervision
Develop and implement strategies to increase communication and connection among a team of direct service shift-worker employees
· Program Management

Manage staff scheduling for site to ensure that home is fully operational 24 hours/day, 365 days/year
Ensure clear and thorough communication among the site staff team through written (log/email) and verbal (meetings) communication
Direct on-site programming including scheduling classes for clients with existing organizational partners and volunteers
Identify client needs and work with Director of Programs to identify and secure community resources and partnership opportunities
Work with Volunteer Coordinator to identify volunteer opportunities for the site and support VC in onboarding and managing site volunteers
Facilitate house meeting weekly to ensure the professional, timely, coordinated communication of information necessary to ensure client success/participationProgram Operations and Delivery:
Ensure that program is carried out according to organizational design, including accountability for case management, policies and standard operating procedures
Oversee program operations for the site including client fees/finances, petty cash, intake (ensuring house stays at full capacity), accountability, conflict resolution, and resource management.
Work with the Director of Operations and the Supportive Services Coordinator to ensure that the facility is fully resourced and operational
Work with the Residential Life Team to ensure organizational policies are upheld as prescribed in the Resident Handbook
Collaborate with staff to hold clients accountable to policies and deliver disciplinary action as necessary when escalated to the supervisory level
Work to resolve client conflict and make decisions related to disciplinary action including exit from the program
Maintain systems, policies, and processes to achieve outcome goals
Regularly evaluate programming to identify gaps and opportunities to best resource client needs and ensure program effectiveness
Cover two residential life coordinator shifts weekly (job description available upon request)
Management Team and Governance:

Work closely with the Director of Programs actively communicating about the day to day operation of the site including current client successes and challenges.
Participate in monthly Management Team meetings
Regularly report program measures and statistics to Program Director, Executive Director and Board of Directors

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Strong leadership skills including leading and collaborating with teams to accomplish goals
Exceptional people skills and spiritual and emotional maturity
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to work autonomously, take initiative, and be receptive to critical feedback and direction
Organized with the ability to balance multiple competing priorities
An understanding of and sensitivity to issues concerning homelessness, women’s health, pregnancy, parenting, trauma, mental health, etc.
Strong logistical and administrative skills
Exceptional critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills
Ability to uphold a professional demeanor and interact effectively with clients, volunteers, donors, and the general public
Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office software and social media
Preferred Experience

5+ years working experience in non-profit sector, social services, or Christian ministry
2 years+ experience supervising personnel
Experience working with at-risk women or families
Experience working with many of the following: high-risk populations; adults; women, homelessness, pregnancy, infancy, victims of trauma, mental health, substance use, domestic violence, poverty, TAY, Foster care, DCFS, etc.
Experience managing staff or leading teams to successfully accomplish goals
Please note the primary function of this role is not direct service, but the ideal candidate would have direct service experience, or an intimate understanding of client services, and skills and/or experience in management.Other requirements:
Valid California Driver's license and clean driving record
Comprehensive background check
Schedule: Flexible but to include at least one weekly 3pm-11pm shift, with flexibility for weekend on-call coverage when necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year

Experience:
