A full-time position leading a three-person department (with seasonal interns) and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The Development Director will create and execute the development plan and refine strategies in all areas of fundraising (Individual Annual Giving, Special Events, Alumnae Relations, Institutional Giving, and Bequests) to meet board-approved fundraising goals. A builder growing the Development contribution to Cathedral High School.
Strategize and lead all fund raising.
Spearhead all development initiatives.
Build and manage a portfolio of major donors and capacity prospects with metrics and benchmarks (both monetary and activity) to achieve throughout the year on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Management of two full-time staff members, an administrative assistant and an Assistant Director of Development, as well as seasonal college interns.
Support Board of Trustees in identifying, cultivating and soliciting contacts and prospects.
Prepare and support board members and Principal to participate in key meetings with major gift prospects and donors.
Oversight of development operations systems including gift processing, event logistics, financial reconciliation, donor stewardship and other development activities.
Oversight of communications activities including publications.
Support the Board Development Committee with periodic updates and analysis of fundraising activities, and attainment of goals.
Oversee all cultivation and gala events.
