A full-time position reporting to the Director of Development. The Development Associate will work on foundation and corporate fundraising, special events and alumni relations.
Manage Foundation/Corporate fundraising (40%):
Identify, research and cultivate new and increased support from institutional prospects.
Draft template proposals for general support and special project funding, and prepare all standard and special attachment requirements; prepare timely acknowledgements.
Meet with staff leaders to identify special project funding needs.
Monitor and track all deadlines for proposals and reports; follow-up pending proposals.
Schedule meetings with funders and prospects for Development Director and other leaders, providing briefing memos and attending appointments as needed.
Steward institutional donors.
Assign special foundation/corporate research projects to Development Assistant and interns.
Manage Alumnae Relations (40%):
Work with CHS Administration to reinforce the importance to all current students of giving back and encourage a culture of giving.
Create plan and execute communications and cultivation strategy.
Draft quarterly newsletter and communications targeted to alumnae and members of the community.
Conduct Alumnae special events, including annual reunion.
Engage class agents as well as alumnae in the life of the school through invitations to activities and meetings.
Design and execute efforts to encourage current seniors to join the Alumnae Association and “Senior Class Challenge” fundraising campaign.
Manage and grow the Alumnae Mentoring program, working with both mentees and mentors on a monthly basis as well as facilitating two mentoring kick off events each school year.
