Virginia Theological Seminary seeks a part-time (20 hours/week) experienced professional to serve as the Campaign Associate to support our comprehensive Bicentennial Campaign. The position works closely with the Institutional Advancement team to manage and document relationships, provide prospect research, develop materials, and support ongoing campaign activity.
Primary responsibilities include: developing briefings on prospects using internal information and prospect research; preparing campaign related materials; supporting campaign volunteers and committees; assisting with Campaign and Annual Fund communications; supporting institutional leadership in all aspects of Campaign implementation.
The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience in non-profit fundraising—preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting a comprehensive capital campaign; fundraising database experience, particularly Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge; and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365, virtual meeting platforms such as ZOOM. Other required competencies include: excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; the ability to work independently, a ready capacity and desire to be proactive, and a willingness to adapt to evolving priorities; helpful and hospitable demeanor at all times and with all people; and a developed understanding of and capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Physical demands of the job include climbing stairs, standing and sitting for extended periods of time, and an ability to lift up to 25 lbs. This is a non-exempt position and work must be accomplished on-site during normal business hours.
