Overview

This position will champion the creation and pursuit of visual strategies that support operations, provide information and promote the organization among key audiences. The Sr. Graphic Designer will also support graphic needs in competitive proposals to donors.

Responsibilities

Design materials to support ACDI/VOCA brand and key messages (including but not limited to brochures, website, templates, infographics, social media graphics, events, online visuals and social media). Collaborate with Content & Outreach Manager, project and business development teams to develop targeted collateral materials to support company business development and external awareness objectives and initiatives. Work closely with the business development team on proposals, advise on and create visuals using best practices for visualizing complex concepts. Design materials to support project deliverables, per individual project budget. Oversee visual materials to ensure they are on-brand and compliant with branding guidelines. Help maintain and promote ACDI/VOCA’s brand consistency internally and externally. Design annual report, working closely with editors and projects. Advise project teams on use of branding and marking plans for projects and proposals. Create branded templates and provide these to staff through the organization’s intranet. Procure and manage relationship and orders with printing and production vendors. Mentor C&O staff on design and branding. Travel on occasion to global project sites to support video and branding needs. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or other related field required. Minimum of five years’ experience in graphic design, visual communications or related field. Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite—especially Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop—required. Proficiency in MS Office required. Experience with web design, web content management, HTML, social media, PowerPoint and video editing software preferred. General communications skills, understanding of best practices, and willingness to learn. Excellence in oral and written communications. Foundational understanding of international development a plus. Superb organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, track and report on progress, and meet deadlines. Ability and willingness to travel to developing countries as needed.
