Position Summary:

NEID is looking for an energetic, inquisitive, and creative thinker to join our team. This Membership Coordinator will support the Executive Director and the Director of Marketing & Events in building a vibrant community of engaged global philanthropists learning, giving, investing, and partnering together to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and human rights for all.  

 

The Membership Coordinator’s work will consist of working with the NEID team on membership engagement as well as  overall social media outreach, events planning, and daily processes including prospecting, programming, research, writing, and fundraising. This role will also focus on the development of internal evaluation methods to enhance member engagement and the learning capacity within the network and primary or secondary research related to NEID’s events and membership growth. In addition, NEID is transitioning to Salesforce and the Membership Coordinator will be leading this implementation. This will consist of prospective membership data collection, populating and updating data, performance management, and analysis using Salesforce.

 

This person will enhance the work of the Executive Director and the Director of Marketing & Events in a comprehensive and hands on way. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

Membership and Data Management:

  • Correspond regularly with all members, handling inquiries and requests promptly; 

  • Generate Salesforce reports presenting key trends about members to inform strategic decision making;

  • Design systems and graphics for internal reports and presentations to make it more engaging and visible for staff

  • Manage stages of event process including but not limited to: invitations, logistics, billing and payment, follow up, etc.

  • Work with other staff to create streamlined data collection systems; and

  • Manage Salesforce member management system to ensure member and prospect data is up-to-date and accurate

 

Communication and Outreach:

  • Serve as point of contact for all NEID members;

  • Provide social media and online communications support for all events; 

  • Facilitate innovative strategies to increase outreach efforts to broaden NEID network;

  • Prepare materials for quarterly Board meetings; 

  • The ability to plan, think analytically, pay attention to detail and follow through;

  • Self-motivation and ability to manage multiple tasks; and 

  • Individuals assigned to this position may perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Key Qualifications

 

Preparation, Knowledge, Previous Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree;

  • Preference for two plus years of relevant work experience or the equivalent;

  • Previous experience with research, program evaluation, data entry, analysis, and reporting required;

  • Previous experience using Salesforce, Statistical software, and/or other data management tools required; and

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities 

 

Skills, Abilities, Competencies:

  • Very comfortable learning new technology required;

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills;

  • Able to take initiative and be resourceful; problem-solver;

  • Be eager to develop systems and processes that improve communication and relationship building among NEID members and between members and staff;

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, organize and manage projects with multiple components, and implement complex activities;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;

  • Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office products including Salesforce, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel, as well as Internet research and database management.  Some knowledge of Canva, and Wix; and

  • Be poised, welcoming, and articulate in interactions with other staff, members, and external stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have interest and familiarity with international philanthropy/international development

  • Have some international experience 

  • Have strong organizational skills and excellent research and writing skills

  • Have general computer skills, familiarity with data management systems

  • Have willingness to complete administrative tasks for the office
