Job Description:

Your Role as Senior Growth and Partnerships Manager

The Senior Growth and Partnerships Manager helps institutions maximize the value of their student services and develop new patterns of supportive behaviors by training, equipping and supporting them to implement College Possible's proven near-peer coaching methodology, with the goal of improving institutional retention and graduation rates of the nation's future workforce. You oversee all business development and sales for this fee-for-service initiative, called Catalyze, by building a robust pipeline of leads, signing new partners, and building scalable processes and systems. You drive the strategy behind our long-term vision, scaling the Catalyze program to serve over 31,000 students at 35-40 postsecondary partner institutions, with a focus on mid- and large-sized public institutions with significant enrollment of low-income students. The Senior Growth and Partnerships Manager will report to the Director, Catalyze and embodies the following:

●     You cultivate change with robust partnerships. You build an effective higher education sales engine that can generate leads, convert them into paying customers, and collaborate to grow these partnerships to serve an increasing number of students on each campus year-over-year. You are an experienced People Leader, ready to train and lead a team of Partnerships Managers on proven sales techniques and effective account management. You recruit and train skilled sales staff and manage them to implement high impact sales practices.

●     You channel College Possible’s Catalyze initiative for scale. You demonstrate this initiative’s viability by showing that we can operationally serve our target universities at a level of scale, that these universities would be willing to pay for effective services, and that there is demand in this market that we can convert into sales. You are attentive to both sales design and execution such as account planning, networking at multiple levels within customer institutions, using pilots to get footholds in natural networks, and prioritizing excellent service for initial customers. You optimize the lead generation processes and tools, in collaboration with our Marketing team. You collaborate with the National Office in planning for representation and stakeholder engagement.  You build the organization’s profile and broaden funding opportunities through engagement of current and prospective funders, other college access and success organizations, higher education membership organizations, research organizations, and state and local officials. You collaborate with program and learning teams to inform model refinement and clarify program design based on expressed market needs and trends.

●     You are a College Possible champion and ensure that our model is economically sustainable. You financially model and then test different pricing models to find the most cost-effective, efficient and successful business model for Catalyze. You sustain and grow the customer base, ensuring that at scale institutional fees will cover the operational and business development costs of running Catalyze. You raise the organization's profile among universities and other potential partners, positioning College Possible for fees, state funding, and/or support at a significantly higher level. You capitalize on opportunistic partnerships with organizations and coalitions to access funding and relationships to activate fee-for-service customers. To ensure future viability, you explore all avenues of partnership funding, including state-based pay for success/performance-based funding and triangulated sales approaches using grants or research dollars as an incentive for partnership. You collaborate with the National Office to operate a community of practice across all partner institutions, effectively networking them for the greater good.

●     You corral resources creatively and invite input across organization. You are ready to work closely with our Marketing team, Advancement group, and other key stakeholders including our Program team to bring the vision of supporting students to fruition. You design systems for partner success, including efficient tracking of partner interactions, campus-level reporting, partner-facing collateral and more.

You have proven ability to manage a robust and diverse sales pipeline and achieve high-impact measurable results.
