Job Description:

The Director of College Success is a senior-level position with
accountability for achieving college success programmatic outcomes.  The Director will supervise two program
managers and oversee the development, administration and evaluation of College
Possible’s college program in Minnesota and one program manager that oversees
the Fostering Graduates pilot program. 
The Program Director will work closely with the Executive Director on
setting and managing strategic programmatic goals.

Functions




Ensure Program
Quality & Provide Organizational Management: O
verall responsibility for ensuring the
delivery of high quality programming to students, including maintaining and
enhancing relationships with colleges and community partners.  Develops systems for program delivery at
current sites and leads on program expansion throughout the Twin Cities and the
state of Minnesota. As a member of the senior management team, provides broad
organizational leadership with an emphasis on cultivating and enhancing a
strong organizational culture. 





Evaluate, Track
and Report on Progress: 
Responsible for tracking, evaluating and reporting
on programmatic progress as well as developing program improvements.  Using key metrics and indicators, evaluates
and analyzes programmatic data to identify trends and progress.  Uses appropriate benchmarks and internal and
external comparatives to measure program success.  Recommends and leads implementation of
corrective action as needed to achieve desired program outcomes.  Leads on all site program evaluations related
to college programming.





Supervise, Train
and Support Program Staff: 
Works closely with
Program Managers to manage the day-to-day activities of the program staff (Program
Coordinators and AmeriCorps Coaches). 
Responsibilities include overseeing all program staff and college
service member hiring, onboarding, training, development and support..  Ensures staff and service member alignment
with organizational goals and objectives. 
Oversees annual college program training and works closely with Deputy
Director on site-wide orientation efforts. 




Oversee Fostering Graduates Pilot Program: Supervise Fostering Graduates Manager and
play an active role in the development, implementation and evaluation of a
pilot program supporting youth who have experienced foster care. Work with
funding partner, college partners and agencies to ensure success of the pilot
program.





Represent College Possible in Minnesota: Collaborates with external partners to
advance College Possible’s community relationships and advance the
organization’s work throughout the state. Serves as college program subject
matter expert with funders and other community partners.

Manage College
Program Budget for the Site: 
Develops and
implements college program budget each fiscal year.  Evaluates and approves program-related
expenditures.  Analyzes budget performance
on a monthly basis.





Other duties as assigned.




Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

·         Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred, with at least five years of related successful experience demonstrating progressively increasing levels of responsibility.

Related Work Experience:

·         Strong management abilities with significant experience managing people and programs;

·         Familiarity with college access and college success issues;

·         Vision and demonstrated ability to develop, promote and deliver positive results;

·         Proven ability to work with diverse populations;

·         Proven record of facilitating collaboration and cooperation with organizations and the community.

Computer/Software Skills:

·         Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
