Job Description:


Design and implement childcare business development programs that align with the agency's mission and strategic direction and result in positive measurable child outcomes.


Program Management

  • Manage the TWC Business Accelerator Grant in partnership with Texas A&M University
  • Develop childcare business viability programs that result in childcare centers having greater impact on child outcomes
  • Ensure that program and grant milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets
  • Create and manage short- and long-term goals
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement a childcare center recruitment strategy for the Centers of Excellence Program.
  • Manage a team in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and ensure that team performance goals are met
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding program issues and service decisions
  • Produce accurate and timely grant and program repots of program status
  • Analyze and interpret program data that is used to drive program decisions

Staff Management & Leadership

  • Participate in the selection and onboarding of new staff
  • Clarify expectations and scope of responsibility with all direct reports
  • Collaborate with staff to establish goals and to monitor/evaluate progress
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff skill sets and professional development
  • Provide regular feedback and support as well as technical assistance

Reporting & Budget Management

  • Monitor the development and timely distribution of program reporting 
  • Establish, evaluate and monitor revenue/expense budget on a monthly basis to ensure budget targets are achieved


EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4 year college or university in business or related field


  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in an early childhood setting
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience
  • Understanding of program management
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, or other language, an asset
  • Proven experience in program/grant management
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
