Job Description:

Do you want to live in a world where all kids have access to the education and resources they need to live healthy and empowered lives?

Do you want to see a future where fewer people are contracting diseases that are preventable through healthy behaviors?

Do you want to be part of a team of changemakers who seek to scale this vision of health and wellness for each and every child?

At CATCH Global Foundation we’re on a mission to improve children’s health worldwide by developing, disseminating, and sustaining the evidence-based CATCH platform of health education programs and curricula.

We’re also on a mission to achieve health equity by linking underserved and disconnected schools and communities to the resources necessary to create and sustain healthy change for future generations of ALL kids from every race, gender, ability level, and economic background.

CATCH programs offer evidence-based health curriculum and resources to educators and children in the areas of physical education, nutrition, vaping prevention, mindfulness, and more, now reaching 3 million students a year in 15,000 schools. But while we note the achievements we have made, we also know there is a lot of work ahead to ensure we reach every child in need.

That’s why we’re conducting a national search for bold and innovative leaders, who share our passion for children’s health, to join our Board of Directors.

Role & Responsibilities

CATCH BOD Members commit to the following:

  • Serve a 2 year term, with an option to renew;

  • Serve on a board sub-committee;

  • Attend six virtual full BOD meetings per year (~2 hours) and bi-monthly virtual subcommittee meetings (1 hour);

  • Participate, as needed, in annual CATCH planning retreats and CATCH strategic planning efforts;

  • Provide strategic support to the CATCH CEO and other staff, as appropriate;

  • Serve in their own unique capacity as an advocate, ambassador and fundraiser for CATCH;

Currently, two out of every three students served by CATCH are considered to be economically disadvantaged, and our work centers directly on the critical role of health education within social equity.

Recently, our directors approved a Board Expansion plan as part of a larger strategy to launch CATCH into our next phase of progress and impact. To accomplish these goals, we seek a diverse set of energized leaders who will help us generate new resources for CATCH and champion our mission to communities across the globe.

Currently, we are prioritizing applicants with a strong passion for health education from diverse backgrounds with executive experience in the following sectors: healthcare (corporate/ insurance/ provider), technology/edtech, marketing, K-12 education and finance.

CATCH Global Foundation Board Members serve in a volunteer leadership capacity and have the unique ability to both help shape the organization's strategic vision for future growth and work with a dynamic and innovative team that is committed to increasing access to health education for all kids.
