Job Description:

GenPRIDE (Generations Aging with Pride) is seeking an experienced Social Worker to become a part of our team! Be a part of GenPRIDE’S growing program to provide specialized services for LGBTQ seniors. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior resources in Seattle/King County and have an affinity for the LGBTQ midlife and older communityThose with direct experience in a senior center or similar environment are encouraged to apply.  

This position will provide information, assistance, referrals, outreach, as well as problem-solve, case-manage, facilitate support groups, and assist with housing needs, food insecurity, etc.  

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Master's degree in social work and current licensure in the State of WA required 

    • Two years minimum experience in a human services field as a social worker  

    • Knowledge of senior services available in King County 

    • Demonstrable facilitation skills for caregiver support group and similar groups 

    • Experience entering/maintaining data in Salesforce or similar CRM database preferred 

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills 

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 

     

    Desired Qualifications: 

    • Ability to work as part of a team and independently 

    • Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, including people of color and other culturally diverse populations 

    • Knowledge of unique challenges faced by LGBTQ older adults
