The mission of The Trevor Project is to end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning young people. The organization works to fulfill this mission through four strategies:
1. Provide crisis counseling to LGBTQ young people thinking of suicide.
2. Offer resources, supportive counseling and a sense of community to LGBTQ young people to reduce the risk that they become suicidal.
3. Educate young people and adults who interact with young people on LGBTQ-competent suicide prevention, risk detection and response.
4. Advocate for laws and policies that will reduce suicide among LGBTQ young people.

We are a non-profit that provides 24/7 life-saving support via phone, text, and chat. We also operate the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth and run innovative research, education, and advocacy programs. Overview of the role:
Reporting to the Director of Recruitment, the Manager of Recruitment will support a high-performing recruitment function by managing a small team of recruiters responsible for recruiting the world’s top talent to join The Trevor Project’s diverse team of leaders. The Manager will play a key role in implementing and overseeing Trevor’s recruiting strategy and its day-to-day execution, while ensuring a highly inclusive candidate experience, both for the Manager’s small portfolio of mid/senior-level hires and for the portfolio of open roles their recruiters will oversee. The Manager of Recruitment will coach and problem-solve with their team to partner closely with hiring managers in support of their hiring goals and play a critical role in the expansion of this fast-growing, life-saving organization.

People manager. You have direct experience with people management, ideally directly managing recruiters, and know how to problem solve and coach direct reports through a range of situations that emerge in a recruitment and hiring process

What you’ll do:
Serve as a manager and coach to recruiters, with varying levels of experience, to ensure each of their searches move forward effectively, efficiently, and inclusively
Partner with hiring managers to support them in hiring the right talent to fill their needs in the short and long term, and model these best-in-class practices for your recruitment team
Manage full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of roles within the organization, including sourcing top talent, coordinating and conducting resume screens, scheduling and conducting phone interviews, organizing and participating in in-person interviews
Support in designing and delivering interview training to all Trevor team members participating in interviews
Analyze and use data and metrics to monitor progress for your team’s recruitment searches and to inform decisions on how to move forward
Alongside the Director of Recruitment, manage the recruiting implications for our Diversity & Inclusion strategy
Identify areas for innovation across recruitment and develop and implement plans to address them
