One in seven adults in the United States already has diabetes and that number is growing, nationally and globally; it is expected that as many as one in three adults in the US will be diagnosed with diabetes by 2050 and that over 640 million adults worldwide will have diabetes by 2040. Because there is no single solution to address the type 2 diabetes epidemic, the single biggest public health problem of our time and no single path to a cure for type 1 diabetes, one of the most interesting autoimmune diseases of our time, the diaTribe Foundation uses multiple approaches to address type 2, type 1, and pre-diabetes and to change existing narratives about diabetes. A growing national nonprofit organization founded by renowned diabetes advocate Kelly Close, we are creating a political and cultural shift in which reducing the burdens of diabetes, or eliminating the disease entirely, becomes a priority for diverse stakeholders including clinicians, scientists, governments, nonprofits, business organizations, municipalities, and patients.

About the Time in Range Coalition
The Time in Range Coalition (the Coalition) is an unprecedented multi-stakeholder group of companies, nonprofit organizations, clinician groups, patient advocacy groups, and other interested parties brought together by The diaTribe Foundation to help ensure that all people with diabetes and pre-diabetes can achieve their best health. Currently comprised of over a dozen companies and organizations, the objective of the Coalition is to drive awareness and adoption of Time in Range (in conjunction with A1C) to inform individual and population-level diabetes care and management. This involves work in multiple areas, including regulatory, clinical, research, payer, and patients.
About the Director Position
The Director role is an exciting opportunity to lead, shape, develop, and drive the work of the Time in Range Coalition, working with and through the growing number of very influential Coalition member companies (such as Eli Lilly, Abbott, Novo Nordisk, Dexcom, and others) and nonprofits (such as JDRF and ADA) to propel the adoption of Time in Range in clinical care, research and daily diabetes management. The Director will report to the COO/CFO of The diaTribe Foundation and work closely with the Founder/President, other senior leaders, and a talented group of Associates across the affiliated organizations: diaTribe Foundation, Close Concerns, and dQ&A.
Primary responsibilities for the Director include:
· Work with diaTribe and Steering Committee members of the Coalition to refine and approve the Coalition’s objectives, goals, and implementation plan.
· Develop, plan, manage, facilitate, and steer the Coalition workgroups necessary to carry out the work of the Coalition.
· Manage, measure, and report on the accomplishments of the Coalition to ensure objectives are met.
· Work in collaboration with diaTribe’s strategic partnership and development team and Coalition members to engage new partners, grow Coalition membership, and increase fundraising revenues to support the work of the Coalition.
· Partner with Coalition members to design, produce, execute, and evaluate patient-facing and provider-facing campaigns to drive the adoption of time in range, using market research to help determine target audiences and messaging.
· Work with Coalition members to develop the strategy for the website and work with external consultants to manage execution.
· Work with Coalition members and advisors to develop a regulatory strategy and execute the plan to drive the acceptance of Time in Range by the FDA and EMA.
· Stay informed of the latest literature on time in range and the overall research landscape
· Drive internal and external work to move patients, researchers, regulators, health care providers, and payers forward on the adoption of Time in Range.
· Prepare, execute and report on workplan and expense budgets.
· Manage the flow of communication among members of the Coalition, diaTribe, the Coalition workgroups, and other key stakeholders in health care, research, and policy.
