Colleen Brosman

Colleen Brosman is a partner in Bridgespan’s San Francisco office, where she helps lead the Bridgespan Leadership Accelerator, a series of online- and team-based programs for nonprofit executive teams seeking to sharpen strategy and invest in talent.

Colleen works deeply in Bridgespan’s leadership and community services unit, developing opportunities for nonprofits to grow their impact and organizational effectiveness particularly through cohort-based approaches. She has developed cohort-based programs focused on organizational resilience, growth, and adaptive planning. She has also served as a coach and facilitator in Leading for Impact, Bridgespan's two-year consulting and capacity-building program, serving clients in Seattle and Los Angeles.

Since joining Bridgespan in 2012, Colleen has worked with a wide range of philanthropic and nonprofit clients using her expertise in strategy development, grantmaking, and philanthropic portfolio management. She has worked extensively on issues related to education technology, early childhood, and effective learning. Colleen has also had a longstanding interest in the field of effective learning and is a co-author of "Rethinking How Students Succeed," published in Stanford Social Innovation Review.

Prior to joining Bridgespan, she worked on corporate social responsibility programs for the American Chamber of Commerce in China, and taught fifth grade as a Teach for America corps member in Washington, DC. She holds a BA with honors from Stanford University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management, where she co-chaired the Yale Education Leadership Conference and co-led the School’s education club. She serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Oregon.
