Eric HellwegHead of Product, Pocket
Eric Hellweg is a product and digital strategy consultant, and currently serves as the head of product at Pocket. Prior to joining Pocket, Eric was the vice president of product at The New York Times where he led a cross-functional group to reimagine their business model. Eric also served as the managing director of digital strategy at Harvard Business Review where he oversaw the strategic direction of all digital products: HBR.org, tablet apps, and others. He was the organization’s first online editorial hire, and during that time HBR.org went from 150,000 users per month to over 5 million and became a leader across social media channels. Hellweg served as an executive editor at Forrester Research and an online columnist at CNN Money and MIT's Technology Review. Hellweg was a founding editor of Business 2.0 magazine. Other previous engagements include freelance articles for publications such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Wired, SPIN, Rollingstone.com, PC World, and the Boston Phoenix. Hellweg is a regular speaker and has appeared as a guest on CNN, Headline News, and other media outlets.
