Yet, a lot remains to be done to advance this practice, especially in the global south. So what will it take to shift mindsets and practices to drive community-led change in South Asia and Africa?

Join Bridgespan for an exclusive virtual series focused on community-driven change, as we delve into what becomes better when communities are at the center. These sessions will bring together practitioners and funders to understand how community ownership can help drive enduring social change.

In our first session of our six-part series, a panel of social sector leaders from India and Africa will share:

• Their motivations to adopt a community-driven approach
• How this approach differs from a community-based programming approach
• How to embed this practice in your programme design for lasting impact
• Moving communities along the change spectrum, from “beneficiaries” to “partners” to “owners” of interventions

The session will be moderated by Bridgespan partner Riti Mohapatra and feature guest speakers Mangesh Wange from Swades Foundation, Yussuf Sane from Tostan International and Dr. Indrani Bhattacharya from Child in Need Institute (CINI).
