Making Sense of Uncertainty: Nonprofit Scenario Planning

By Lindsey Waldron, Robert Searle, Alexandra Jaskula-Ranga

Creating an Adaptive Plan
Wednesday, April 27, 2022
12-1 p.m. EST / 9-10 a.m. PST

For nonprofit leaders, the future often seems uncertain. Even when you're clear on the impact you want to have, how can you navigate the challenges that might arise?

With adaptive planning, you can identify the priorities and actions that are most critical to success, and then build plans to act–and respond to–risks or barriers that might be on your path towards impact.

Attendees will:

  • Learn about “adaptive planning”–a complement to “traditional” strategic planning
  • Understand how to define a set of priorities aligned with your organization’s 2-year vision
  • Think through how to take action, accounting for the potential hurdles you may face

Presented by Bridgespan’s Preeta Nayak and Lindsey Waldron, and featuring guest speakers Naomi McSwain, executive director of the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center, and Monica Anzaldi, New Jersey executive director of America Needs You.
