Angela Maldonado
Partner, New YorkAngela Maldonado is a partner in Bridgespan’s New York office. She advises funders and nonprofits on strategy, growth, and impact at scale.
Angela’s work focuses on advancing more equitable and effective philanthropic practices, including shaping approaches that shift capital and decision-making to proximate leaders and organizations. She partners with philanthropies and funder collaboratives on impact strategy, sourcing and diligence, and models of equitable grantmaking. She also works with nonprofits on strategic clarity, growth planning, and translating strategy into organizational design.
Prior to joining Bridgespan, Angela served as a partner at TNTP, a national education consulting nonprofit, where she advised senior leaders across state education agencies, philanthropies, and school districts on strategy and organizational effectiveness. She also led TNTP’s leadership development programs and practices team, overseeing the creation of the organization’s first equity-centered leadership development framework. In 2015, Angela was recognized by Forbes as one of the most influential leaders in education.
Angela graduated with distinction from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in finance and holds a Master of Education from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.
