Ben Cooper

Senior Manager, New York

Ben Cooper is a senior manager in Bridgespan’s New York office. Ben works in the impact investing practice where he collaborates and advises with institutional investors, covering a range of issues including impact strategy development, impact underwriting and diligence, impact value creation, and impact measurement.

Prior to joining Bridgespan, Ben was a Director and on the senior management team at Tideline, a boutique impact investing consulting firm. He led 30+ engagements at Tideline with investors seeking to create positive social and environmental impact alongside financial returns. His clients included some of the largest global asset owners, leading private equity firms, family offices, and large foundations. Ben’s experience in impact investing spans geographies (North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia), impact themes (financial inclusion, education, healthcare, infrastructure, food and agriculture, and climate), and asset classes (private equity, private debt, venture capital, and real assets).

From 2014 to 2019, Ben worked at Stax, Inc., a global management consulting firm primarily serving private equity firms, progressing from Associate to Manager. At Stax, he executed 70+ due diligence engagements and supported the development the firm’s social impact practice.

Ben also has a number of diverse experiences in social impact, including advising small businesses and coffee cooperatives in Ethiopia for TechnoServe, working with social enterprises in Ecuador with the Social Entrepreneur Corps, and acting as a pro bono consultant to other nonprofits and social enterprises in Chicago. Ben graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance and American Studies.
