Bryan Cortes

Senior Manager, San Francisco

Bryan Cortes is a senior manager in Bridgespan’s San Francisco office. He joined Bridgespan in 2020 and has worked with a variety of clients on strategic planning, program evaluation, and leadership development.

Bryan focuses on climate philanthropy, where he has advised on the launch and strategy development of major global climate philanthropy collaboratives. He coauthored Bridgespan’s seminal research article, “Winning on Climate Change: How Philanthropy Can Spur Major Progress over the Next Decade” (Bridgespan.org, 2023). In addition, he has supported strategy development and program evaluation engagements for arts and culture organizations and has served as a coach for Bridgespan’s Leading for Impact® program.

Prior to joining Bridgespan, Bryan obtained a dual master’s degree in public policy and in business administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to graduate school, he worked as a financial analyst for a wealth management firm in New York City.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Bryan is a first-generation college graduate. He holds a degree in economics with honors from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He is an avid reader and collects presidential memoirs and biographies.
