Kayla Powers

Manager , San Francisco

Kayla Powers is a manager in Bridgespan’s San Francisco office. Through her work, she hopes to be of service to nonprofit and philanthropic organizations and leaders dedicated to racial and economic justice. Kayla often collaborates with clients to craft ambitious strategic visions, develop practical implementation plans, and integrate effective organizational practices.

Select past clients include the California Black Freedom Fund, Borealis Philanthropy, Raikes Foundation, Harlem Children’s Zone, Community Coalition, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and high-net-worth individuals/families focused on immigration and education.

Kayla is a member of Bridgespan’s Economic Security and Opportunity area of expertise, and served as an executive leadership team coach in Los Angeles via Bridgespan’s capacity building program, Leading for Impact.

Previously, Kayla was a consultant at Bain & Company, where she supported private equity diligences, organizational transformations, and pro bono education projects. Kayla holds an MS in Management Science and Engineering, and an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Born and raised across Northern California, Kayla enjoys being active in nature and civically in her local communities.
