Maya Simpson

Senior Manager , San Francisco

Maya Simpson is a senior manager in Bridgespan’s San Francisco office. Since joining in 2019, she has focused on nonprofit strategic planning and operating models, often with education and youth-serving organizations. Much of her work has been with organizations seeking to grow significantly, or to launch new initiatives and strategies to increase their overall impact. Maya has also coached more than 15 nonprofit leadership teams via Bridgespan’s two-year consulting and capacity-building program, Leading for Impact®, in Chicago and Los Angeles.

Before Bridgespan, Maya spent over nine years working with K-12 education nonprofits and schools across direct program delivery, program management, operations, and curriculum development. Most recently, she led talent development for College Track, a national education nonprofit. This included rolling out multi-year talent initiatives in performance management; organization design and career pathways; employee experience and organizational culture; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); and training and development.

Maya holds a BA in History from Pomona College and an MA in Sociology and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
