Rebecca Brondfield

Principal, San Francisco

Rebecca Brondfield is a principal in Bridgespan’s San Francisco office. She joined the firm in 2016 and works with a range of nonprofit and philanthropic clients, with a particular focus on early childhood, public health, and education.

Rebecca supports nonprofits in developing adaptive approaches to learning and growth and advises foundations and high-net-worth donors on strategy and new philanthropic initiatives. As part of Bridgespan’s early childhood area of expertise, she co-authored the firm’s funder guide Critical Ways Philanthropy Can Help Every Young Child and Family Thrive and co-led the research for Building Back for Equity: Guidance to Inform 2021 Early Childhood Grantmaking. She has also served as a coach to executive teams through Bridgespan’s capacity-building program, Leading for Impact®.

Before joining Bridgespan, Rebecca worked in health, education, and youth development through local, national, and international nonprofit organizations. Her experience includes program management at Peer Health Exchange, a national nonprofit providing near-peer health education in public schools, as well as work in the Office of the President at Hillel International.

Rebecca holds a BA in Government from Harvard University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She is originally from Baltimore but currently lives in San Francisco with her husband and two young children.
