For this walk, we paired Camila Pereira and Kevin Crouch. Pereira is the CEO of Global School Leaders, which improves educational outcomes across the Global South by strengthening the knowledge and skills of school leaders. Crouch is a senior manager at The Bridgespan Group, where he drives research, thought leadership, and peer learning to help unlock philanthropic funding for systems change leaders.
While attending the Skoll World Forum, they discussed distributed leadership and what it takes to build an education field that nurtures "rested leadership."
"What is the education that you envision where people flourish?" Pereira asks. "This mindset needs some basic conditions fulfilled. I'm thinking about the need to be rested, at some level. You can't be totally drained and exhausted and lead from that place. Part of the systemic change that we need is creating more of these conditions for more people."
